How to Install New Kitchen Cabinet Doors

New cabinet doors
Screws

Step 1: Remove the Old Doors

Before you can install the new doors, you need to remove the old ones. To do this, open the door and locate the screws that are holding it in place. Use a screwdriver to remove the screws, and then carefully lift the door off the cabinet.

Step 2: Measure and Mark the New Doors

Once you have removed the old doors, you need to measure and mark the new doors so that they will fit properly. To do this, place the new door on the cabinet and align it with the top and sides. Use a pencil to mark the location of the screw holes on the door.

Step 3: Drill Pilot Holes

Before you can install the screws, you need to drill pilot holes. This will help to prevent the wood from splitting. To drill the pilot holes, use a drill bit that is slightly smaller than the screws. Drill the holes at the marks you made in Step 2.

Step 4: Install the New Doors

Once you have drilled the pilot holes, you can install the new doors. To do this, place the door on the cabinet and align it with the screw holes. Insert the screws into the pilot holes and tighten them until the door is secure.

Step 5: Level the Doors

Once you have installed the new doors, you need to level them. To do this, use a level to check the alignment of the doors. If the doors are not level, you can adjust them by loosening the screws and moving the door up or down until it is level.
