Remember to account for any lip or overhang the sink may have. The sink manufacturer's instructions will provide specifics on the required clearances. Once the outline is drawn, use the jigsaw or reciprocating saw to carefully cut out the opening.

Sink Installation: Before setting the sink into the cutout, apply a bead of silicone sealant around the perimeter of the opening. This creates a watertight seal, preventing leaks and water damage. Carefully lower the sink into the opening, ensuring it sits flush with the countertop. Depending on the sink type (drop-in or undermount), the installation method will vary.
